The postpartum period is a beautiful and important time of healing,

adjustment, and getting to know your new baby. But it can also come with soreness, swelling, exhaustion, and more than a few logistical challenges.

Getting dressed, squeezing swollen feet into shoes, arranging for someone to watch your newborn, and making the drive to an OB/GYN appointment can feel overwhelming—especially when your body is still recovering.

With an OB/GYN  tele-visit or home visit, many aspects of postpartum care can be provided in the familiar, comfortable environment of your own home. Whether you’re recovering from childbirth, adjusting to life with your newborn, or have questions or concerns about your postpartum recovery, you deserve care that meets you where you are.

Because postpartum care should feel supportive, compassionate, and convenient—right from the comfort of home.

Postpartum Home Visit Disclaimer

Home Visit Availability and Feasibility:
Home visits are subject to Dr. Lisa Chang’s availability and are limited to the Pasadena and Arcadia, California areas. The final determination as to whether an in-home visit is feasible, appropriate, and available will be made solely by Dr. Lisa Chang based on the circumstances of the visit and her availability.

Relationship to Your OBGYN Care:
This postpartum visit, whether conducted via telehealth or in the home, does not replace or substitute for routine postpartum care provided by your own obstetrician/gynecologist (OBGYN). Your OBGYN remains your primary medical provider and the physician responsible for your ongoing postpartum care, medical evaluation, treatment, and follow-up. You should continue all recommended appointments and care with your OBGYN and other treating healthcare providers.

Non-Emergency Care:
Neither telehealth visits nor in-home visits provided through this service constitute emergency medical care. These services are intended for appropriate postpartum concerns that can be safely evaluated in a non-emergency setting.

Emergency Situations:
If you are experiencing a medical emergency or symptoms that may require immediate medical attention, do not wait for a telehealth or home visit and do not rely on this service for emergency care. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

By requesting or participating in a telehealth or in-home postpartum visit, you acknowledge and understand these limitations and the importance of maintaining ongoing care with your primary OBGYN.
